Three stones

On the opposite hillside, there is a newly built cycling route leading to the Slovak-Moravian border (Vrbovce – Tri Kamene – Kuželov Windmill trail). Along this route, both cyclists and hikers can reach “Tri Kamene” directly from the farm, where the original border between the Kingdom of Hungary and the Kingdom of Bohemia once stood.

Here, you can relax in a gazebo, roast bacon on the established fire pit, and continue along the “Vrbecko-Kuželov” educational trail, which features interesting stops such as the Kuželov Windmill, where you will feel as if you have been transported to the Netherlands. In the spring, during March and early April, the surrounding forests are covered with beautiful carpets of wild garlic.

Lamentable

On the opposite hill, near the settlement of Štefanová, there is a protected area, the Štefanová natural monument. At an altitude of around 500 meters above sea level, after past beech forest clearings, beautiful meadows have developed, full of the most colorful flowers. A stunning view of the entire surroundings can be enjoyed from the Žalostiná viewpoint.

Kuželov

The Dutch-style windmill in Kuželov is a very popular landmark in Moravia and the Slovak border region. You can reach it by bike or on foot, and in the village of Kuželov, you can enjoy a good lunch.

Mohyla

The mound of Milan Rastislav Štefánik needs no introduction. You can visit this monumental landmark as part of a sightseeing trip by car in the surrounding area.

For winter and skiing enthusiasts, there is the Skiland Stará Myjava ski resort, located just a 20-minute drive from our farm.

Synagogue in Strážnice

The synagogue in the town of Strážnice serves as an exhibition space with a Jewish theme. The entrance area is a memorial to the Holocaust. There is also a Jewish cemetery on site. Opening hours: June – September, Monday – Sunday: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM, 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM.

Strážnice Open-Air Museum

In the Strážnice open-air museum, you will find more than 60 interesting objects spread across a large area, set in a beautiful and peaceful environment. It showcases 18th-century folk architecture, traditional building techniques, crafts, and agriculture.

You can learn about the history and development of viticulture, original crop varieties, and traditional livestock farming.

Tarzánia
